We are the sole distributor of the 3D Tactical Terrain Model (3D-TTM) by Advantage Mold. The 3D-TTM was specifically designed with the Military Planner in mind.From conception to production we worked in close consultation with members and former members of the armed forces to develop the 3D-TTM into the most durable and deployable terrain model ever constructed. Through our patented process, we create 2ft x 2ft 3 dimensional tiles of any portion of the earth’s surface which comprise the overall model. Each 3D-TTM is custom built and decorated to meet the needs of the user. The 3D-TTM is available in durable hard foam, and soft visco-elastic memory foam for special applications. Regardless of size, the 3D-TTM can be set up and taken down and stored for deployment in a matter of minutes. The 3D-TTM is decorated with a specialized paint that provides ultra-violet protection for outdoor use, and allows you to walk and write on it without damaging the model.

HOW WE DO IT
We consult very closely with our customers to determine the desired size of the model, and the exact portion of the earth’s surface the model will be constructed from. As part of our patented process, we use the most technologically advanced software available with the most up to date topography available to create a 3 dimensional file of the specific area designated by the customer. We use this file to create solid aluminum tooling to cast each 2ft x 2ft tile that will comprise the overall model. There is no room for error in this process as each tile must line up perfectly with the next to form the perfect model. The customer is involved every step of the way, and must grant approval on the topography to ensure that they are completely satisfied. After the tooling is created we pour the desired foam to create the tiles that will comprise the model. The tiles are decorated with our specialized paint to meet the needs of the customer. Details such as grid lines can be added for military applications, if desired. We keep the tooling on hand for future orders of the same model or if a tile needs to be replaced in the future.
APPLICATIONS
The concept for the 3D-TTM derived from the fact that military units were utilizing gaudy map boards that were fragile and awkward to deploy. Secondarily, unit staff’s were spending countless hours constructing sand tables for pre-deployment drills. The 3D-TTM allows staff’s to conduct their planning in garrison then quickly deploy the model to a central location for pre-deployment briefings and drills, and deploy the model again to their area of operation. The 3D-TTM is also ideal for educational purposes allowing students at multiple locations to utilize copies of the same model for planning courses. The 3D-TTM is not limited to the military. It can be used by law enforcement, fire and rescue workers, land developers, parks and recreation, forestry services, fish and game authorities, and a host of industries we haven’t even thought of.
GETTING STARTED

We can build a model as small as 2ft x 2ft or a larger scale model in 2ft increments. It is best that you provide the map with the area you want modeled clearly marked on the map sheet (s). We will take it from there. Within a few days you will receive the topography of the area for approval and we will discuss in great detail how you want your 3D-TTM decorated. Once we have an agreement we will begin our work. Customer interaction is paramount in the production of your 3D-TTM. We will be at your disposal from start to finish, and the entire project can be completed in about 8-12 weeks depending on the size of your model and the demand we are experiencing.
